Joseph Costi
“For 15 years I’ve had this book (“Notations 21” by Theresa Sauer) on the book shelf. I dusted it off for a re-read and wanted to explore them with an open musician and Joseph Costi was perfect for that. I play Jazz mostly and being a musician from that world, where the music is all about improvising but generally sticks to specific forms, Graphic scores is a really uncomfortable place to explore as it doesn’t necessarily have a bar by bar set, prescribed form.”
